I enjoyed the small group. The instructor was very friendly. I was disappointed that she didn't teach us about perspective. I've always wanted a class that teaches how to apply perspective.

ARTISTS
Jia Aloe
Hello! I'm Jia (artist name: CJ Aloe), a local traditional and digital artist, whose usual subjects consist of people, nature, flowers, clouds, and whatever else I feel like drawing. Inspiration hits from all over. Every time I'm compelled to create art, it's because I think it would be cool to make the ideas in my head turn into reality. Another motivation of mine is I desire to improve my artistic abilities and see such improvement come to fruition. As a new host, I aim to help aspiring artists do the same, too. Let's learn and improve together!

Jia Aloe is available for private bookings

Available mostly on Saturdays from 10am until 5pm.
Private tutoring and providing of feedback on drawings.

The CEO of a company wanted to send something unique to his partners to commemorate the Christmas holiday. I was asked to create hand made cards for them. I created this series of 7 A5 size framable cards and included the company logo. One was addressed and sent to each partner. They were well received.

Title or Location: Nature's Gifts 14
Nature's Gifts 14. Original 18?x 24, oil on canvas.?This painting celebrates the men who ride mountains, very large surf as the mountain morphs into a wave. My Natures' Gifts series intermingles those things we love about our island home here in Hawaii. This exploration is inspired by understandings developed in art history courses about monumental landscapes and how they were used?to meditate on combined with the explorations of color and abstract ideas inspired by Impressionist and post-Impres

Title or Location: 42
42 was one of the cattle we raised, and for some reason he had it out for my dad. He?d chase him, try to gore him, and basically made it his life?s mission to terrorize him. Needless to say, when it came time to pick which one went to the butcher first, 42 didn?t have to worry about living out his golden years.
